Girls U12 Major (2013) - Monasterevin AFC

Naas stuck at it after a tough start at home to a strong Monasterevin side at the Sports Centre on a hot Friday night.
Conceding three early goals made for a tough start for a side that was without a recognised goalkeeper but they never stopped running and playing for each other throughout the 60 minutes.
Naas worked a handful of excellent chances that were all thwarted by the away side’s impressive shot-stopper before half-time but kept battling.
Aoibheann McNally claimed the hosts’ goal, winning the ball off a defender and pushing through to slot the ball past the keeper.
It was the least they deserved.
Naas dominated the final quarter, putting together a number of excellent team moves with players interchanging to brilliant effect.
Special mention to the four girls who volunteered for a stint between the sticks: Katie Malone, Cora Morgan, Alanna Leydon and Aine McNally.
All four made huge contributions outfield as well.
