Boys U15 (2011) Major 2 Blue - Newbridge United

Some what of a local derby, the game went from end to end with both teams sizing each other up in the opening few minutes with Naas having the better of the chances but unable to make the break through. It was the 21st minute when Senan broke the deadlock, after the Newbridge keeper made a save from Zsombor, with Sean on hand for the rebound to make it 1-0.

Then on the 26th min a goal from a long range shot from Freddie made it 2-0 after some good work from both Zsombor and Nico up front but not before some great work at the back from Harry and Jamie combining to break up an attack from Newbridge.Then on the 28th min a long range effort from Scott nestled in the back of the net looping over the Newbridge keeper,Scott was quick to react from a loose ball from a cleared corner to make it 3-0.

On the 44th min Nico was on hand with a fine headed goal at the back post to make it 4-0,his tireless effort to get on the score sheet paid off.

It was a fully deserved clean sheet as the back four and Sam played really well with Sam only having to make 1 telling save in the first half.

All the subs who came on all played a part in the result with Joe coming close for his second goal of the season along with Natanem having a shot blocked from a fine effort.The lads secured another 3 points and we also got our first clean sheet of the season which has been long over due.
