SWR U9 Lions - Wheldrake

🦁 WHELDRake 6–5 SWR LIONS 🦁

What a 6–5 thriller in Wheldrake this morning!

Unfortunately, the Lions came away empty-handed, but not before serving up an absolute goal-fest!

The Lions were roaring from the off, getting forward, creating chances and constantly pushing for the win. Five goals from four different players showed just how much attacking threat we had!

⚽ Goal scorers:

- Jax x1

- Ethan x2

- Cam x1

- William x1

It was a seriously unlucky way to lose, with a last-second free kick deciding the game. There were certainly a few heated moments at the final whistle, and we'll leave the refereeing decisions to the post-match debate! 😂

Whether it was a questionable decision here or a lapse of concentration there, the result didn't go our way. But the effort, determination and attacking football from the Lions were there for everyone to see.

And finally, a big farewell! 👋

A massive thank you to Cam, who has secured a big-money move to Tadcaster. The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but we're reliably informed there were a few zeroes involved! 💰😂

A huge thank you to Justin for everything he has contributed to the Lions. We wish both Cam and Justin all the very best for the future.

Once a Lion, always a Lion! 🦁💙💛
