Port of Bristol Youth U13 Green - Razor FC U13
Topsy turvy game this one. After flying into a 3-0 lead within 6-7 minutes through a Ralphy brace and Tmaine, i thought the lads were on for a huge victory. I couldn't have been more wrong, rather than POB letting their heads drop they stayed calm and very quickly worked their way back into the game. A few positional errors and reactive play rather then anticipation of the next play, led to POB stunning the boys and going into the break 4-3 up. Unbelievable!
After a slightly more animated coaches talk at half time the boys came back out and went back to playing the way they usually do and after Teddy scored a free kick to make it 4-4 it looked like Razor would run out winners, and although POB's number 9 was really dangerous on the break our goal was largely untroubled. The boys were unable to take their chances though and 4-4 it remained!
A lesson to the boys today to not switch off, get lazy and assume a game is won no matter how many goals we are ahead.
