SWHC U15 Boys - WPCC A
The SWHC U15 Boys delivered a confident and disciplined performance on the road on Sunday morning, securing a well-deserved 3–1 victory over WPCC A at Hartleyvale B.
WPCC struck first with an early goal, but Somerset West responded with maturity beyond their years. The midfield pairing of Ayanda Ngcobo and Jason Naidoo quickly took control, allowing the team to build sustained pressure and settle into their game plan.
The equaliser came through Andre Rossouw, who finished calmly after a sharp attacking move involving Nick Fourie down the right flank. From there, the momentum shifted firmly in Somerset West’s favour. Strong defensive work from Theuns Coetzee, Paul Malan, and Cyril Zulu limited WPCC’s chances, while Rebecca Vega organised well at the back.
Early in the second half, Thabo Mabena gave SWHC the lead with a powerful strike following a period of sustained pressure. WPCC pushed to respond, but excellent tackling from Ayanda Zulu, Themba Ntuli, and Tefo Mazibuko kept the hosts at bay.
The result was sealed late in the game when Scott Steyn capped off a flowing team move to make it 3–1, rewarding the boys’ hard work and composure under pressure.
It was a strong all-round team performance, highlighting the squad’s growing confidence, discipline, and togetherness as they continue to develop through the season.
Final Score:
WPCC A 1 – 3 SWHC U15 Boys
