Razor FC U13 - Portishead Town
A very hard fought victory today after a frustrating 0-0 first half where we dominated the ball but left ourselves open on the break with players not tracking back. The boys took on board the advice from the coaches at half time and made the most of their dominance by scoring 4 second half goals, (Arlo with a penalty won and taken by him, and an absolute stunner from Elijah the pick of his 3 goals. Additionally a clean sheet and only 1 goal conceded in two games... its a great start. The team is strong all round and the strength of the defence is complemented by the juggernaut midfielders and devastating attack. I'm looking forward to this team gelling even more over the next few weeks.
I cant sign off without mentioning THAT save from Sam, i had that down as a top bins goal and then Sams hand just came out of nowhere.... that was some leap and some save....
My man of the match today was Elijah, he must have been a nightmare to play against today and his hat-trick was well deserved. Please pick you own MOTM on the vote.
