Why choose Leagues and Tournaments?

The platform is built to simplify day-to-day administration and create a stronger experience for federations, clubs, teams, and officials alike.

With Leagues and Tournaments, you can:

  • manage the entire competition setup in one system
  • reduce manual coordination and administrative workload
  • gain full visibility across teams, matches, officials, and payments
  • automate time-consuming tasks such as scheduling and official assignment
  • deliver a more professional and scalable competition setup

The result is a smoother workflow for administrators and a better competition experience for everyone involved.

Two formats – one flexible system

The module supports two core competition formats, designed for different types of events.

League

The league format is ideal for competitions that run over a longer period, such as an entire season. Each match is created as a separate activity, making it a strong fit for divisions, league structures, and seasonal formats.

Tournament

The tournament format is designed for shorter events where many matches are played over a few days. All matches are grouped into a single activity, making it especially well suited for weekend tournaments and compact event formats.

Easy setup and flexible configuration

Creating a league or tournament is simple, while still offering the flexibility needed by federations and larger organizers.

Administrators can configure:

  • name and description
  • sport
  • entry fee
  • start and end date
  • registration period
  • public visibility
  • standings and result visibility
  • team registration settings
  • result reporting permissions
  • official selection method
  • parent league structure

The system also supports key competition settings such as format type, points for wins, draws and losses, number of rounds, match duration, and tiebreaker rules. This makes it possible to adapt the platform to both standard league formats and more specialized competition structures.

Full control from the overview page

The overview page acts as the central control panel for the entire module. From here, federation administrators can quickly see and manage all leagues and tournaments in one place.

The overview makes it easy to:

  • browse all created leagues and tournaments
  • filter by type and status
  • search by name
  • sort by relevant details such as dates, groups, teams, and matches
  • edit, delete, or publish competitions directly from the table

This gives administrators a clear starting point and a strong day-to-day overview, even when handling multiple competitions at once.

Simple management of groups and teams

The Groups section makes it easy to build the competition structure and manage participation across leagues and tournaments.

Administrators can:

  • create groups and divisions
  • define age and gender settings
  • set minimum and maximum team limits
  • manage group-specific entry fees
  • view all registered teams in each group
  • approve and organize participation across the competition structure

This allows federations to manage everything from simple group stages to more structured, multi-level competitions.

Smarter scheduling and match management

The Match Schedule module gives organizers a complete view of all scheduled and completed matches, available in both calendar and list-based views.

The system supports:

  • manual match creation
  • automatic schedule generation
  • filters by league, tournament, and team
  • referee assignment management
  • result entry and match updates
  • color-coded match statuses such as scheduled, completed, postponed, and cancelled

Automatic scheduling helps reduce planning complexity by generating fixtures based on the selected competition format and available setup.

Officials and referee management in one workflow

The Officials section is built to help federations manage referees and other match officials in a structured and scalable way.

You can:

  • add existing officials or invite new ones
  • assign official roles such as referee, judge, timekeeper, scorekeeper, line judge, or match responsible
  • manage certifications
  • review official nominations
  • control assignment workflows

The system also supports automatic assignment based on criteria such as active status, organizational connection, certifications, availability, and double-booking prevention. This helps ensure that the right officials are assigned to the right matches with less manual effort.

Match-level detail when it matters

Each match can be managed in detail, allowing administrators to keep full control over scheduling, assignments, and results.

This includes:

  • teams and match pairing
  • scheduled start and end times
  • venue and field
  • round and match number
  • referee assignment
  • notes and match updates
  • result recording

This detailed structure makes it easy to manage each fixture individually while keeping everything connected to the larger competition setup.

Facilities and courts as part of the scheduling engine

The Facilities and Courts section ensures that venue availability becomes an integrated part of competition planning.

Federations can manage:

  • facilities by club
  • location and capacity details
  • active or inactive venue status
  • weekly availability
  • blocked dates such as holidays or maintenance periods

These settings are used directly by the automatic schedule generator, allowing matches to be placed in available time slots with fewer manual adjustments.

Standings and results updated automatically

The Standings & Results module gives administrators and participants a live overview of how the competition is progressing.

Standings are calculated automatically based on:

  • match results
  • points for wins, draws, and losses
  • configured tiebreaker rules

If enabled, standings and results can also be shown publicly, giving clubs, teams, and followers easy access to the latest competition updates.

Reports and future insights

The Reports section is currently under development and marked as coming soon. It is planned to support exports and insights related to standings, results, registrations, and official assignments.

This will add another layer of transparency and reporting value for federations that need structured competition data.

Driving report for official compensation

The Driving Report helps federations keep track of travel distance and compensation for officials assigned to matches.

It provides:

  • total travel distance overview
  • compensation status tracking
  • filtering by tournament, official type, and compensation status
  • direct actions for confirmation and handling

This makes it easier to manage mileage compensation in a more documented and professional way.

Team requests without administrative bottlenecks

The Team Requests section gives federations a dedicated place to manage participation requests from clubs.

Administrators can quickly:

  • view incoming team requests
  • filter by competition and group
  • approve or reject requests
  • manage registrations in line with each competition’s registration settings

This creates a clean and scalable approval process for competitions with many participating clubs and teams.

Payments with full financial overview

The Payments section provides a simple overview of entry fees across participating teams.

Federations can track:

  • paid and unpaid registrations
  • total payment amounts
  • payment status by club, league, and group
  • entry fees defined at league or group level
  • confirmation of received payments

By connecting payments directly to the competition setup, the system makes it easier to stay in control of the financial side of tournament administration.

Built for federations and professional organizers

Leagues and Tournaments is more than a scheduling tool. It is a complete administration platform designed to support the full lifecycle of competitive events.

It helps federations and organizers manage:

  • competition setup
  • groups and team participation
  • match scheduling
  • officials and nominations
  • standings and results
  • facilities and courts
  • payments and compensation

All in one connected system built to save time, improve oversight, and support professional competition management at scale.
