S&L Juniors U12 Whites (JS) 26/27 - Horsley U12 Cobras

Away match against very friendly and competitive opposition. Played on a grass pitch that was dusty and a bit uneven, but expected given the summer weather. Seemed a great club and facilities. Weather was sunny and fine.

5-1 loss in the end. Seemed we started well and ended well, we just need to work on the bit in the middle! We had lots of chances to score, but seemed to take our shots early/ not from the best positions / or with little option to pass. Oppo were defo more clinical.

A few goals were scored by them from within our box, when we maybe could have got a clearance earlier. I think we'll defo try to work on this in training and get someone on the front post on corners.

We'd been working in training on distribution from goal, and we shall continue to give good time to this. We may have lost possession on at least 1/2 of these events, giving oppo chance to get straight at us. Bettering this will make us so much better!

There was some great possession play. Runs down the lines, passing to team mates, bits in the middle of the park did look really good. With just 5% more the score could have easily been the other way.

We defo need to try to listen more. The coaches are getting frustrated and we are trying to help with tactics for improvement. There was lots of talking, heads looking away and even some mud thrown. Not good. Please give us only 5 mins of you time.

Lots of great performances; but Legrand started good and came into the game exceptionally well in the 2nd half, earning the Player of the Match. Well done.

We all believe in you and this team: we have great balance, great kids and we will start seeing better results soon. I'm sure of this.
