Boys U15 (2011) Major 1 - Coill Dubh

Naas are a really good football side when they want to be. The game of football that was played from kick off until the 15 minute mark at Cusack Park was a testament to that. Pass and move. Give and go. Naas dominated. Chances created. Coill Dubh on the back foot. Matt Courtney was tormenting the back 4 and he dropped deep to receive the ball from David Beloiu and advanced into space. Thirty yards out, he shaped to shoot. One of the Naas coaches squealed 'DON'T'! (The tall handsome one)

Matt didn't listen and fired a rocket so sweet into the roof of the net. Gerrardesque. And that was the end of the footballing part of the match. The home side quickly recognised that they couldn't compete at football so they made the game a scrap. And they scrapped hard. Naas couldn't match it. A quick equaliser was conceded followed by more scrapping. Coil Dubh won the scrap.

3 defeats in 5 games is telling. Naas the victims of another Halloween horror story.
