U10 Calcio Select - Yorkshire Ammers Blue U10s

U10s Rosso Lost 6-2. Against a strong Ammers side. I thought we competed well at times in all 3 thirds. But we gave the ball away too cheaply at times too. As the player on the ball didn’t have enough support close to him when under pressure.

The team had to work really hard out of possession and they did that. As they had really strong individuals and we had to really match them physically & technically across the whole pitch. But, a couple of times we just got punished in transitions and a couple of players losing track of their player.

Despite the scoreline, there was still a load of positives from the game. For example, I thought we got good success when we recognised to switch the play from one side to the other and create attacks from there. And we had plenty of moments in the game where we had 3v1s but couldn’t quite finish the attack. And on another game would have scored a few more goals. Also, the effort levels from the lads were really good. Particular from our defenders, who battled really hard in their duels.

Overall there was some good positives and things to reflect on going into next game. My MOTM goes to Felix, who I thought was brilliant today. Both in & out of possession.
