Razor FC Youth u13 - Norton League - Filton

This is a very good example where looking at the final result doesn't reflect how the match went.

Everybody, and I mean everybody, put in a shift today. When Filton started to go ahead, our heads stayed up and we fought on, still creating chances even though we were up against it towards the end. This demonstrated the resilience of our players.

There was some excellent football played. Our wings and played up the line effectively. Raffi and Luke formed a great partnership and were a constant thorn in Filton's defense. Thomas and Owen worked hard on the right both gaining confidence and experimenting with skills that the extra bit of freedom gave them, being further up the field.

We also were passing it quickly through middle of the field with Milo linking up well with Rheon and releasing the ball through for one on ones with the keeper. Rheon was in a constant battle with a centre back who was at least a head taller than him but never relented and got the better of him a lot of the time.

It was hard work for everyone but Jack in middle was relentless; winning the ball back and supporting the defense and attack.

Joey was solid in the back and showed his character by keeping his head up and still performed well even when a few goals went in.

Massive thanks to Sam for helping us out with some great saves and safe hands catching some high balls.

I couldn't be prouder of how we hard we worked, how we played and how positive our attitude was throughout the whole game. If we continue the same way in our league games we are going to have a very sucessful season.
