U15 Calcio Select - Forza Football U15
U15s Lost 2-1 to Forza
It was a game of two halves. In the 1st half We started slowly, conceding a soft goal in the first minute, as we lacked the desire to the defend the goal. We also wasn’t brave enough with the ball when finding the free player or we didn’t separate from our opponent or rotate off the ball enough to support in the build and as a result we struggled to consistently build out successfully. But as the game went on, we grew into the game and we got more success particularly on how we built out from the back. As we used the free player better when in possession and players rotated well to create overloads both in wide &
Middle areas when against their 4-4-2 press just the technical execution let us down at times.
In the 2nd half, I felt we gained a lot more confidence on the ball and I felt like we had all the momentum and we was on top. I was impressed with the composure and better bravery shown from players in the 2nd half to have the width, height and depth we mentioned at the half time break to help us find the free player when going forwards. After getting 1 goal back from Jack Lam to make it 2-1, we tried to push for an equaliser but we just couldn’t capitalise in the end.
Overall, a positive team performance, with loads of things to build on for next week.
My MOTM today for me is Isaac. Who I thought kept us in the game at times. Particularly in the 1st half, making some brilliant saves 👏
