Boys U15 (2011) Major 2 Blue - Kilcullen

A draw away to Kilcullen still leaves the team unbeaten three games in. The disappointment felt a good sign from the lads as to how much they want to succeed every week!

We played on Astro for the first time this season and the speed and bounce of the ball took the lads some time to settle into the game, and if honest neither side played their best football.

The first half saw Jack make a clearance in the box to give away a corner which Niko then headed out of danger from the box. Up the other end Scott fed a great ball to Zsombor, which he put away to give us the lead, but It took Kilcullen 10 minutes to bring the game level.

5 corners in succession, with Freddie and Niko putting great balls in, however half time saw us stay level.

The second half kicked off and within 3 minutes Zsombor hit the target, putting us 1:2, however again the home side put themselves level within minutes! With shots on target from Freddie, Scott and Niko in addition to two corners, again from Freddie and Niko, we just couldn’t find the net and the game finished 2:2.

We will again learn from this experience and training will continue to focus on raising our skill levels, so when we play Allenwood in two weeks, we will take our performance up another gear.
