LCSFYL U9 SL 2025/2026 (London County Saturday Football Youth League) - Furzedown lions red
Very good win 4-1, coming back from a 1 nil down.
We didn't start well the match, however, the team quickly woke up. From their goal to our first we missed several chances to do the equalizer.
When least expected, the GK from the opposition gave us a gift đ. From that moment until the end of the match, it was about creating chances after chances. With finished first half 2-1.
Second half, the team kept looking for the third goal and so on. With their merit they built a nice score (4-1).
However, not everything it was perfect, and with me, nothing is perfect. There is always something to improve on. Needs to be this "hunger" that we all need to have to become better players, better team.
There were some situations playing out from the back where we chose the less effective places to drive the ball towards too, eventually creating some goosebumps and scary moments.
The way we pressed has big margin for improvement, however, I believe overall players applied good pressing and covering in certain moments, now I need to ensure that wasn't luck, but yes, acknowledgment đ .
We also need to work on the composure attacking, understanding when to dribble or when to pass, tings for shooting, etc.
Again, this is a long, long road. But with the right commitment and enthusiasm/passion to learn and play, the boys will get better and better.
Well done, everyone.
Once again, a big thank you to all parents who support every single kid (not only their own), which for me says a lot.
Thank you,
Coach Fred
