HAFC Junior U15 Girls - Kirkheaton

HAFC 2-5 Kirkheaton

Goals: Sally and Libby

Opposition POTM Libby, Coaches POTM Holly.

Excellent performance this morning in defeat to a team 2 divisions higher. No exaggeration to say that we gave them a massive scare, leading twice and going into HT at 2-2. The opposition were forced into a total rethink of their formation and they came out and showed their quality for a 15 minute spell in the second half. But for that, we matched them and could have scored several more ourselves.

Great skill and finish for goal 1 from Sally. Great to see Libby back with a trademark goal and well-deserved OPOTM. And in midfield, Holly was everywhere (as usual) and was awarded Coaches POTM.

There was a “wee rammy” at the end when our girls were forced to defend themselves and each other in the face of match-long provocation. Kept it just the right side of the line and showed good togetherness.

Big game next week, heads up girls.
