First league game back good to get a win under our belts.

We went 4-0 up in under 15 minutes and it was looking like it was going to be overwhelming scoreline.

As much as myself and Graham enjoy winning (I’m a Leeds fan so I don’t get to enjoy it very often 😂) winning a game 10/11/12-0 doesn’t actually benefit the girls progression. We know we’re better than the other team so knew the girls could cope, we played the rest of the game with 10 players and tried to move players around a little bit and played with combinations of players in positions that we wouldn’t usually do to see how they got on.

Being on the pitch during the game I could hear pretty much everything and I’m really impressed with the communication between the girls, either I couldn’t previously hear it because I’m on the sideline or it’s a remarkable improvement from last season either way I’m really happy with it.

Amelie was coaches player of the match, it was her first game (I believe ever in a team not just with us) and her effort was faultless, it’s not easy coming into a team that’s started to establish themselves with a way of playing but she did really well and I’m sure she’ll continue to improve.

Meah was the oppositions POTM I’m really impressed with how calm she’s becoming under pressure and made some great tackles.

Great 3 points to start the season.
