A great victory against a tough opponent to get our league campaign underway đź‘Ś
The lads started well keeping things tight at the back with some positive play going forward. Building on a solid start, we grew into the game with Seb and Finlay making decisive runs down the wings.
Leamington FC took a deserved lead direct from a corner with another Fin G special. Vision didn’t fall away however and always carried a threat, particularly down their right hand side. This resulted in a good goal just before the break. Leamington FC responded almost immediately, with Oscar setting up Carmello for another good goal, which turned out to be the winner.
2-1 HT
The lads came out after half time looking to build on their solid first half performance. Lots of good play down the left and right flanks from Seb and Finlay, and then Harry later on.
The lads dug deep to keep Vision at bay and we looked a constant threat going forward up until the final whistle,
FT 2-1.

Alfie had his best game so far with some good tackles and covering. Well done Alfie.
Fin G with his goal, great deliveries from corners and a solid performance at right back in the 2nd half. Great effort Fin.
Finlay P had a great game, full of energy down the right wing and setting a great example with his tracking back, top work Finlay.
POTM: Oleg. Covered lots of ground in the advanced midfield role, winning the ball back and initiating attacks. He really put into practice what we have been working on in training the last few weeks. Well done Oleg.
Most of I wanted to give a shout out to all the lads today, they really battled for each other in what was arguably our most disciplined performance as a team to date. Mick, Tom and I are really proud of all the players.
What a great way to start our League Season against a good side who beat us home and away last season.
