Boys U11 (2014) Prem - Coill Dubh

NAAS AFC 2014 Prem Team
Fixture: Coill Dubh (Away)
Kick-Off: 10:00am
The 2014 Prem Team of NAAS AFC lined out this morning in Coill Dubh with a slightly lighter squad than usual, but spirits were high from the very start.
The boys gathered at half nine, warmed up well, and prepared to test themselves in a brand-new formation.
With players away on holidays and others sidelined through illness, the squad was reduced to just nine for the match – but you’d never have known it from the way they played.
From the opening whistle, the team looked sharp and determined. The boys adapted quickly to their new positions, showing real composure and discipline despite the early nerves. Chances came quickly, and the relentless effort was rewarded with four goals – all calmly taken and fully deserved.
Midway through the game, Mason took a knock to the ankle and had to come off for about ten minutes. Down to just eight players, NAAS could have been rattled, but instead they dug even deeper. The defensive work rate was immense, and the attacking play continued to flow. Every player kept their head up, showed for the ball, and supported one another across the pitch.
The final whistle confirmed a brilliant performance. With only nine men (and sometimes eight), the boys not only coped with the challenge – they thrived under it.
Four goals, a clean sheet of determination, and a display of teamwork that made the coaches and parents proud.
Full thank you to the boys parents as always for showing up with the boys!
Go Naas! ⚽️⚪️🔵
