Razor FC Youth u13 - Norton League - Bradley Stoke
Wow where do I start. Straight from the kick off Razor dominated. Every ball that was lost was battled back and won back quickly. With the weather being as hot as it was this was no mean feat. We were constantly in Bradley Stokes half coming close but only narrowly missing the target several times and an overhead kick that was so close even the oppositions bench was impressed. The opening eventually came from Fin Jones finding oceans of space and slotting it home. That's when flood gates opened. The excellent passing football around the box turned into goals with Razor coming in 4 goals up at half time.
Dispite the hot weather and a bare 9, the lads continued to to power on and dominate the rest of the half. I've seen mens teams take their foot off and settle at these scores, and under this weather. But the boys pushed on and played some terrific football. Ralphy Hicks and Parker Humphres were relentless in closing down Bradley Stokes balls out wide. Cutting off any attack they had before it started, then laying balls through for one on ones and crosses into the box. Henry Ridewood was always there, looking for the ball and had their left back's head spinning whilst he went round him or cooly launched a ball into the box. The two Owens at the back were solid. Owen Wilson-Wray especially, sweeping up any stray balls with ease and laying it off for another attack. Kyle Wilson was a constant thorn in the oppositions side, battling hard in the middle of the park. Then there was the two hattrick heros, Fin Jones and Rheon Lewis, endless energy, pulling the defence apart and desperate for goals.
Swapping the lads out of their positions still didn't stop them. We ended the match 9 nil and although he didn't have much to do Sam concentrated right to the end and pulled off a great save to keep the clean sheet.
Honestly I was tired watching. Thank you the Avon league boys for stepping when needed very much appreciated. Great performance boys!
