U11 Calcio Select - Riverside elite

A tough day out for the boys today, who despite a late comeback fell to a physical riverside team 3-2.

We started slowly, not able to implement our playing out from the back tactics which we worked on last night in training. They scored twice from our mistakes which is always difficult to come back from.

But come back we did, with some excellent combinations through the middle from Lewen and Isaac, really taking the game to their 6'2" monster centre half 😂. We got two goals back from Oscar and Isaac with many more chances created but they just wouldn't go in for us. A tough moment in the rain making a slippy ball difficult to handle was enough for them to steal the 3 points, which summed up our day I think.

Back to back MoM for Noah, who I thought bailed us out 1v1 numerous times today as well as springing many counter attacks with ball at feet.
