Leeds UFCA U10 - MLFA

UFCA U10s vs MLFA – Match Report ⚽️👏

Firstly, what a fantastic group of boys! Without doubt, our best performance so far!

From the first whistle, the boys showed incredible composure and control of the ball. If I’m not mistaken, the opposition didn’t touch the ball for around 30 seconds to 45 secs after kick-off! The patience shown in our build-up play was brilliant, and it was great to see some fantastic goals come from it.

From start to finish, we controlled the game. Our decision-making, patience and confidence in possession were on another level.

I thought the two boys who started at the back were outstanding, dictating play and having a massive impact on the performance. The midfield and attacking players also did exactly what was asked of them, with everyone playing their part.

There were a few moments early on where we rushed our forward play and were a little slow with our recovery runs, but after some feedback between the thirds, the response was excellent. Midfield and attack started get involved showing patience rather than always looking for the quickest route to goal.

Their defensive and off-the-ball reactions were brilliant when possession was lost. Bodies were on the line and showed a phenomenal willingness to not concede.

What made it even better was seeing the boys play with this level of understanding and composure at such a young age.

Lots of positive feedback from the game, which was great to hear and really reflected the football the boys put on display today.
