U14 Yellows 6-6 Elsecar Main
The game began with UFCA yellows playing some good football inbetween both boxes but lacked the finishing touch and in the other box struggled against the pace of the Elsecar forwards.
At 4-0 down at half time UFCA knew they had to dig in and show some real determination to get back into the game. Despite some positive signs in the first half the team faced a up hill battle.
UFCA started the second half on fire and started to take the chances they had been creating all game and got the score back to 4-3 however Elescar were clinical and caught UFCA out on the break just before the end of the third quarter.
UFCA had to go again in the last quarter and the boys did this brilliantly a goal from Oscar again got UFCA back into the game at 5-4 but another Elescar goal with 10 minutes to go put them 6-4 ahead. A resilient UFCA team wouldn’t give up and with 2 and a half minutes left to go the boys once again got themselves back in the game with a great goal from Miguel to complete his hatrick. With 30 seconds left to play and the score at 6-5. UFCA used everything they had left in the tank to go and press Elescar and Alex managed to find Oscar with a great pass and Oscar once again beat the goalkeeper and got the score back to 6-6.
Overall and brilliant attacking display and really hard working and resilient performance.
A massive Well done to every single player and some great signs from the team to take into the season!!👏👏
