U11 Calcio Select - Yorkshire Ammers U11
Saturday saw the mighty U11's overcome a physical and arguably dirty Ammers side to win 5-1, with a tough and professional performance from all.
After an initial shock to the system where we arguably lost the early physical battle, the boys stepped up their efforts in duels to win these contests against bigger opponents. This gave us the platform to exploit their narrow, central midfield focused shape. Our wingers hugged the touchline and offered space to play forward in all channels. In attack we continued where we left off, regularly getting 4 attackers into their 2 man backline. 5 goals against the undefeated ammers this season was an excellent performance and perhaps we couldve scored more with the number of chances we had.
M0M went to Noah. When we needed a defender to step into the midfield line to stop their progression he was there every time, punching well above his weight in the duels. Calm on the ball and always releases at the right time to the right player. Well done mate!
