What a fantastic performance from our U8s last night! From start to finish, the players showed exactly what we’ve been working on — bravery on the ball, smart decision-making, and a real desire to win the ball back when out of possession.
In possession, the team were confident and composed, always looking to stay on the ball & use the free player rather than forcing play. Out of possession, the reaction to losing the ball was brilliant — players worked hard to win it back quickly and showed great determination in their defensive duels.
It was also fantastic to see everyone enjoying themselves, playing with smiles on their faces and embracing every moment of the game — whether attacking, defending, or supporting teammates.
There were plenty of standout moments across the team:
- Eddison showed outstanding desire to win the ball back time and again.
- Alfie displayed great bravery in possession, always looking to make something happen.
- Rua was superb in goal, making key saves and staying composed when playing out from the back.
- Maleek impressed with clever movement to support teammates and help build attacks.
- Wilf showed real intelligence on the ball, consistently trying to make the right decisions and finding the free player.
