U10 Calcio Talent & Select - First Touch U10

A tough game for the boys saw our first defeat of the season 11-3 vs First Touch's 1st team at this age, who notably won the first division last year.
First period was close, with the score at 2-1 to First Touch going into the first break. Freddie equalised on 8 minutes before they once again established their lead on 16'. Some good counter attacking football from us but we had difficultly playing out from the back against their intense high press. This led to the majority of their goals on the day.
Second period saw a well worked goal from Dylan, with some really good build up play from Lewen, who had just come on for the injured Henry.
Final period saw us regain some control, with a calm and controlled performance from Harry in our central defensive pivot position. This led to a number of chances on goal. Our final goal was a well taken free kick from Harry which Isaac managed to deflect past the keeper.
A big thank you to the boys who went in net this game; Jude, Isaac and Dylan. A brave and determined performance in net from all three saw them never give up or shirk the challenge. Fortunately for all, we have a new keeper Austin starting on Friday who can help us concede less goals immediately!
MoM from me was Harry who was instrumental in regaining some control in the final period and stuck to our game plan of successfully playing out from the back under pressure. Well done mate!
