Millhead Dynamos U12s – First Game of the Season
A difficult start to the season against a very strong Highgrove side.
The Dynamos made a really strong, competitive start, with some fantastic saves and some excellent defensive work keeping Highgrove at bay. Eventually they managed to break through and added two quick goals to make it 3-0.
The lads responded well though, playing some really good passing football and creating chances to keep the game fairly even going into half time.
The second half was always going to be tough against a phenomenal Highgrove team who moved the ball really well and used some pinpoint crosses to break down the Dynamos defence. As the game went on, the lads began to tire and Highgrove pulled away.
Harry managed to break free and intercept a clearance to get a goal back, but unfortunately it wasn't to be today.
A difficult first game, with some difficult fixtures still to come, so it's back to the drawing board at training and hopefully we can work on a few things and improve our performances over the coming weeks.
Player of the Match – Charlie S Despite the scoreline, Charlie did a brilliant job of keeping Highgrove at bay and showed real coolness and calmness throughout, while also organising the defence.
Parents' Player – Sam Some amazing saves and constantly active throughout the game. A really strong performance.
Plenty to work on, but that's what training is for. On to the next one. ⚽️
