Boys U10's Lightning - Chapelfield Colts

Feel good factor at a high level all round after this performance by U10 Lightning.

Chapelfields are a good team and we learned they are used to scoring lots of goals.

To keep a clean sheet against them is a huge credit to the goalkeeper and all boys who played in defence.

Defending is made is easier if you can control the game in the oppositions half and the team certainly did that.

Incredible work rate from everyone today it was great to see. Most of the team had a shout for their best games played to date today.

Although leading 4-0 at half time, it was a closer game than the scoreline suggests, and concentration was needed to get the right result for Stockton.

Fair but strong physical challenges and well taken shots deservedly earned Albie a hat trick.

A combination of threat, through skill and speed and solid cover provided on both wings by Ralphie and Daggy.

Jenson controlled everything in midfield, always covering defensively and attempting to give an option when attacking, had another goal of the season contender.

Marley and Lucas worked hard in defence and also a stint in more forward roles, their positioning and movement was spot on.

Julian looked like an established defender, with good control and made some super passes to turn defence into attack.

Fin was incredible in defence, quickly closing anything down and somehow had energy left to be a strong threat as forward.

Ernest made some good saves, great kicking out and controlling of the back line.

Maybe it was the fresh new kit, hope to see many more of these performances throughout the season. Well done everyone.
