Home v Kilcock

With only 3 of our regular U11 girls available for todays clash against a strong Kilcock we had to ask some of our U10 to help us......and despite already playing and winning their match the girls stepped up and delivered BIG TIME.

After stalemate in the first quarter Kilcock took the lead on the stroke of half time. Most teams would have dropped their head having conceded but not this team. Naas responded almost immediately into the 3rd quarter and fought and scrapped to score 2 late goals to secure a fantastic win.

Special shout out to the girls who played both games this morning. The future is bright, the future is pink ⚽ 🩷.

Players:

1. Maria...... Stepped in to cover for our regular goalkeeper (Get Well Soon Lauren). Made some amazing saves when the team needed her and her distribution continues to improve.

2. Julia.....One of our regular U11 girls who led by example starting at centre back and moving into midfield to push the team on. A player who is only getting better.

3. Ava..... Ava who now plays regularly for both teams has really improved this season. Her hard work, commitment and dedication both at training and on matchday is making her an unbelievable player. She never put a foot wrong in both games

4. Sophie.... Playing her first ever U11 game today and you would never know. She was solid as a rock at the back. Her ability to carry the ball and distribute the ball has made her one of the most improved players.

5. Lucia..... Another U11 girl who needed to help the younger girls out today. Playing in midfield she never stopped running and bringing her team mates in to the game. Her hard work paid off with a fantastic finish to equalise for the team. A brilliant performance with more to come.

6. Hazel......Has covered for U11 on a couple of occasions this season and never lets the team down. Both in midfield and especially in defence today she was flawless. Another player who has made massive improvements this season.

7. Margaret..... Having starred in the previous game Margaret took her form into this game. Her ability to carry the ball and always pick the right pass makes her a constant threat. Was very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. A player with a very bright future.

8. Madison..... Another U10 who stepped up today. Playing upfront and in midfield she brought her teammates into the game and created chances for those around her. Never stopped from start to finish.

9. Abbeygail...... Our Captain for the day and put in a captain's performance. Abbeygail led by example starting on the wing her tireless workrate led to a couple of great chances for the team with no reward. After a stitch and a bit of a rest Abbeygail came on up front and changed the game with 2 clinical finishes in the last 5 mins. A Captain's performance by this superstar.

A hard fought but well deserved victory for this brilliant bunch of girls.
