Another good performance from the boys to make it 3 wins on the bounce, and now they can look up the table towards challenging for promotion.
With new additions at the beginning of the season and during it, this was always going to be a season of transition after last seasons promotion.
The extended break over the last couple of months has probably helped, as it's given us more time at training to integrate everyone into the squad.
It's shown in the last few games, as their confidence in what they can achieve grows, with today being another example of that.
We kept the pressure on from the 1st to last whistle today, playing some nice football in windy conditions along the way.
A hatrick for Zac (2 direct from corners).
George Lee coaches MOTM for a solid defensive display...never put a foot wrong.
The most pleasing for me, was to see Aidan score and assist with a lovely pass to Zac. His goal came from pressing their GK to force mistakes, as we knew he couldn't kick or hold it....unlucky not to win coaches MOTM, but deserved parents and players MOTM 👏
A couple of formations today.
We started with a 1-3-4-2-1 using wingbacks, so that we could dominate the midfield with a box formation.
After Sambas 1st half injury, we changed to 1-4-5-1 , using traditional wingers and a midfield triangle to again try and dominate and dictate the game from the middle of the pitch.
It's really satisfying for us as coaches to see the boys rise to the challenge this season, and if they can keep up this level of performance, it'll be an exciting end to it.
