U14 Purple - Stratford Town

A close, contested and enjoyable match played in the right spirit. Great to have Lennon back in a strong back 3 with Ralph and Leo. Lots of chances at either end with Charlie keeping a clean sheet. 0-0 HT. Second half and all to play for. Timmy broke the deadlock with a shot going in off the post with support play from Tom down the right. Stratford rebounded by equalising in less than 2 minutes. All credit to the team for putting pressure on and creating multiple goal scoring chances by Eddy, Marley & Manuel. Timmy scored to make it 1-2 with an assist from Marley and we should have had a penalty when Timmy was tripped in the box and then Sammy being obstructed. That spurred us to get the third and winning goal by Sammy with an assist from Amar. MOM to Marley and Sushi for their stand out performances in midfield. Let's take this into next week's match away at Daventry!
