U12 Orange - Bulkington Sports

Leamington Brakes fell behind early on when Bulkington squeezed a low shot into the bottom corner. Despite the early set back the Brakes had a lot of the ball and Seb was unlucky with a good shot on target and we had a goal ruled out for offside. At the other end William kept us in the game with some good saves. 0-1 HT.

Into the 2nd half and the pattern of play was similar with the Brakes having most of the possession. Finlay and Harry both had efforts on goal and Teddy held the ball up well. Oleg made a superb headed clearance to prevent a certain goal. A really well worked bit of play resulted in Oleg tucking the ball into the back of the net, but the goal was ruled out again for a narrow offside. With time ticking down Harry’s shot was saved by the keeper falling to Charlie who hit a low effort just wide. Full time 0-1, a narrow defeat, it just wasn’t our day today.

Overall really proud of the effort and the lads did us proud with an impeccable minute’s silence for Remembrance Sunday 👏

Special mentions:

Oleg with a superb headed clearance and for a composed finish that was ruled offside.

Teddy’s hold up play was good today and was trying to play passes into the wingers.

Finlay was struggling with a thigh injury but still put in his usual effort, you deserve the values trophy 💪

Player of the match is William for his saves, bravery and for playing the the sweeper-keeper role superbly 🙌
