Match Report: Naas vs Sallins Prem u12

Naas vs Salllins Prem u12 was another entertaining encounter of clash of styles between two really good teams.

First Half Highlights:

Despite a fast start from Naas it was Sallins who had the opening chance of the the game. Some great play in midfield with Katie on the left wing and Amelia on right saw Naas threatening in attack. Naas were rewarded for their great play between Kate and Sara to setup Kayleigh with first goal of the game to go 1-0 up.

Kayleigh has another chance straight after and was unlucky not to add to her account. She lead the line brilliantly for Naas with great link up play with Sara and Katie all evening.

Sallins however pulled one back. Naas were solid at the back with Annabel,Laurel,Faye and Grace.

Laurel had another excellent game playing at both centre and right back, also playing through the pain barrier all match. She is true warrior and leader of the team.

Amelia had a chance to put Naas up again while Sallins always looked threatening to take the lead. It was Lauren in goal who made her first of great saves to deny Sallins. Kayleigh had another chance before half time for Naas.

Second Half Highlights

Sallins started really strong in second half. Lauren made save after save to keep Sallins at bay, it was player of the match performance from Naas's excellent goalkeeper. Naas weathered the storm and went on attack with Kate and Rosie having chances. Laurel and Grace were constantly giving the ball out to wingers Evie and Rosie try to set up the plays. Alana won many of the midfield battles against the opposition.

Sallins took the lead 2-1 and had further chances but where denied again in goal by Lauren.

Despite all Naas's hard work, it was Sallins who came away with deserved victory. Naas u12 prem girls continue to make great strides as a team and definitely on right path.
