Match Report: Naas Prem u12 vs Sallins

Naas Prem u12 vs Sallins was another entertaining epic battle between two great teams.

First Half Highlights:

Sallins took the lead early before Naas struck quickly back with Kate setting up Kayleigh for a tidy finish. Sallins continued to deploy their long ball tactics and their centre forward broke free to put Sallins ahead once again. Naas continued to play out the back with Laurel (player of the match), Faye, Alex and Grace setting up great plays all afternoon. Lauren continued her great form in goals.

Sallins were not ahead for long with great play in midfield by Alanna to set up Kate with an equaliser. Sallins continued to push forward and were rewarded with another goal. A great finished from Rosie meant the teams went in level at half time 3-3.

Second Half Highlights

Sallins responded quickly after the break with two goals in quick succession to go 5-3 ahead. Naas threatened with Amelia and Evie on the wings against a direct Sallins team.

Naas again displayed their never say die attitude and struck back with an indirect free kick from Kayleigh who again was brillant up front all afternoon. The comeback was complete when Kate popped up with a deserved equaliser from Naas. Naas were unlucky not to be rewarded with a late penalty but had to settle with a draw.

The Naas girls are really building up some great momentum heading into the next set of important fixtures that will define how the top of the league plays out. Excellent work from all the girls again.
