U13 UFCA 25/26 - PSC
The final game of the year brought a deserved clean sheet and a hatrick from Milo.
Although UFCA dominated the first quarter, on a quick surface there were too many overhit passes, misplaced passes and shots from distance that didn’t trouble the PSC keeper meaning that the score remained 0-0.
A change in formation at the start of the second quarter saw Nick dropping in to make 3 at the back and this opened up different parts of the pitch, yet despite this, there was still a lack of care in the UFCA play. It needed a moment of brilliance to break the deadlock and it came from Milo who battled and won the ball, shifted it out of his feet and curled an excellent shot into thetop corner. One soon became two as Milo again weaved his way past the PSC defence and finished with a low shot into the corner. Milo’s hatrick came shortly after this to make it 3-0.
Whist UFCA deservedly held the lead, the sharpness from the previous week never fully materialised and too often, players were caught in possession taking too many touches.
Despite this, PSC only really had one chance in the game but couldn’t capitalise after a rare lapse from UFCA. After this, AJ whipped an excellent cross from the right that Owen headed and looked certain to score. The PSC keeper made an outstanding save but Lucas was there to bundle the ball home.
Milo played a part in the fifth and final goal, with a dangerous free kick into the box, a scramble then ensued and Dylan made it 5-0.
