U15 UFCA 25/26 - Halifax Town
UFCA U15s 2–0 Halifax Town
Scorers: Corben Peacock (65’, 75’)
UFCA U15s returned to winning ways with a composed second-half performance to overcome Halifax Town 2–0, highlighted by a dream debut from Corben Peacock.
The first half was evenly matched and end-to-end. UFCA were a little sloppier than usual, which affected their ability to control the game and forced the lads to manage several transition moments. Despite this, the team showed resilience and organisation to keep Halifax at bay.
After the break, UFCA looked far more like themselves. Their control improved, the quality in possession returned, and the pressure steadily built.
The breakthrough came on 65 minutes when Peacock coolly finished to give UFCA the lead. Ten minutes later, he doubled the advantage with another composed strike. He also won a penalty and capped off an outstanding debut by earning Player of the Match.
At the other end, Alfie Shearing recorded a well-earned clean sheet, helping secure an important win as UFCA bounced back from two consecutive league defeats — the first time the club had suffered back-to-back losses in five years.
A strong response, a standout debut, and a big three points for the U15s.
