UFCA Yellows 1 – 5 York City
A tough start to the season against a strong and well-organised York City side. UFCA began brightly and took the lead through a superb finish from Will Ward, giving the team confidence early on.
Unfortunately, two goals were conceded from set pieces before half-time, which shifted the momentum. In the second half, York continued to control the game and added further goals.
Despite the scoreline, the UFCA boys showed real character and kept working hard right until the final whistle. Plenty of positives to take forward into the next match.
