U16 UFCA v Pontefract Colls

The boys started the game in the best possible way, scoring within the first minute. Pontefract equalised shortly after, but our lads responded really well, showing great attitude and composure to score two more goals through Jayden Toussi and go into half-time 3–1 up.
In the second half, it became clear that Pontefract were struggling to influence the game through football alone. Unfortunately, this led to a lot of arguing and unnecessary conversations on the pitch. Things escalated further when some parents from both sides became involved, causing the game to be interrupted.
I’m not sure exactly who was involved, and I don’t want to dwell on it, but I’d really appreciate if, moving forward, we can all focus solely on supporting the boys in a positive way. I know how much time, effort, and travel you all dedicate, and it means a lot — your support is a huge part of what makes this team special.
Despite the disruption, the boys showed fantastic desire, maturity, and class to finish the game in a positive way. With this win, the lads have now made it three wins from three, which is a brilliant start. However, we know there’s still a long way to go, and it’s really important that we continue building the right culture — one based on hard work, respect, and togetherness — to keep improving.
Massive well done to all the boys for their performance and attitude!!!
