U13 UFCA 25/26 - Guiseley

The U13s produced a commanding performance this weekend, overcoming driving rain and swirling wind to secure a well-deserved victory in the cup.

From the opening whistle, the team set the tempo, pressing aggressively and moving the ball with confidence despite the poor conditions. The boys dominated early periods, but a combination or great goalkeeping, poor finishing and goal line clearances, kept Guiseley in the tie. The defence, marshalled superbly by Theo and Simmsy,, dealt with long balls and counterattacks with maturity beyond their years, and a fantastic save from Taylen stopped what looked like a certain goal for Guiseley.

Just before half-time, Sharpey opened the scoring with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, giving the goalkeeper no chance and giving the team a much deserved lead heading into the break.

The second half showed even greater composure. The midfield trio dominated possession, while the forwards continued to threaten, forcing several saves. A second goal came midway through the half when Dylan scored from an excellent assist from Milo.

Despite the worsening weather, the team maintained their intensity to to put the game to bed with another Dylan goal, this time the assist from Goalkeeper Max. The Goalkeeper remained focused, to preserve a well-earned clean sheet.

Overall, it was a superb all-round display—full of teamwork, resilience, and quality football in very tough conditions. A thoroughly deserved cup win and a performance the whole squad can be proud of.
