Match Report – U14s Naas Girls vs Athy
Naas U14 girls travelled to Athy in what proved to be a thrilling encounter. Athy struck first after 12 minutes, but Naas responded almost immediately with Ellie finding the net after some excellent link-up play involving Caoimhe, Clodagh, and Millie. Goalkeeper Perry also made some key saves to keep Naas in the game during the first half, showing real composure under pressure.
Just before half-time, Athy managed to edge ahead again, making it 2-1 at the break.
Naas came out strong in the second half, with the back line standing firm and refusing to let anything through. Ten minutes in, Clodagh got her reward with a fine goal to level the score. With the wing backs pushing higher and the team piling on the pressure, Lana showed great determination to grab another goal for Naas.
It was a fantastic all-round team performance, earning Naas a deserved 3–2 victory and three valuable points. With just two games left, the girls will be hoping to finish the season strong and hold on to 3rd spot in the league.
