Calcio 2 – 3 UFCA
A strong performance from the boys today on a very difficult pitch.
In the 1st half, some great work down the left from Lucas Reed led to a dangerous cross into the box that caused panic in the Calcio defence. Isaac was quickest to react and took full advantage to put UFCA 1–0 up.
Calcio equalised early in the 2nd half from a set play, but the boys responded well. UFCA regained the lead when Riley finished from close range after good attacking play.
Calcio levelled again from the penalty spot, but full credit to the lads — they rallied and pushed hard for a winner.
The decisive moment came from some excellent play by Charlie, who delivered a perfect through ball to Isaac. Isaac smashed it home with a great finish to secure the win.
I was really pleased with how the boys reacted after conceding a couple of goals against the run of play. It was a massive team effort and everyone worked incredibly hard.
