U15 Yellows 25/26 - Yorkshire RTC U15s

UFCA Yellows 4-3 win vs YRTC
After going 2-0 down early in the game, UFCA had to learn quickly after giving the ball away cheaply in the first few minutes. The Yellows fought back displaying a terrific mix of energy, fighting spirit and quality.
It didn’t take long for UFCA to demonstrate their quality in possession. The midfield three of Taylor, Shea and George remained composed and moved the ball quickly with purpose. Out of possession they worked hard to unsettle YRTC not allowing to get into any sort of rhythm.
Rocco (GK) as ever, communicated expertly to ensure his back four stayed switched on. He was also was able to apply the game plan discussed, and recognised when to kick long to stretch YRTC’s back four. This often caused the ‘chaos’ we’d hoped for to utilise our dynamic front three.
Rocco Senior stepped up into the yellows having earned a call up and certainly gave his opposing centre half something to think about. Both our wingers Naim and Josh made significant contributions to the game and were a constant threat utilising their pace and agility to outfox the opposition full backs.
Both wingers executed goals of the highest quality. Naim expertly finished from the edge of the box after latching onto an excellent through ball from Charlie Mawson who caused problems in around the number 10 position from the moment he entered the pitch.
Josh grabbed his first hat-trick of the season with a superb penalty and two spectacular strikes from distance. One right footed hit, and the other was launched from his favoured left which arrowed directly into the top corner.
Our back four were certainly tested through the entirety of the game this morning but stood firm.
Charlie Glover was a commanding presence in the heart of defence with a dominant display winning multiple arial duels and playing out with quality when required. Grayson ran hard and competed with courage and determination, staying concentrated and chasing strikers into the channels to snuff out any danger. As always, Harry showed real composure and continued to take the ball under pressure to support his team mates. Oscar V showcased his well recognised technical capabilities through providing a passing range masterclass, demonstrating his switching of the play, set pieces and corners.
Billy Glover brought the steel which ensured the team remained competitive all over the pitch. Winning block after block and tackle after tackle inspiring the team to keep working until the 80th minute.
Challenges from the Omar and Niall:
1. Can we play in less touches and move the ball forward (with detail) earlier .
2. Recognise when to play longer, with good contact on the ball, especially in our defensive third.
3. Replicate the same energy and desire next week
