U15 Yellows 25/26 - Dearne & District

A very strong display from the Yellows this afternoon. Both the starting and finishing 11 dominated Dearne and District in every department.

We were excellent in the few moments our back line were required to defend the box. Our CB’s showed their class, remaining composed and moving ball with speed and accuracy. Full backs were composed in possession, combining to get out and showed discipline when recovering.

Our midfield three showed their quality, moving the ball quickly and combining often in one and two touches. It was pleasing to see the range of passes on display and how we recognised when to bounce and when to go over, round or through to create chances.

The front three positions across the length of the game were a constant threat. Their directness and energy to stretch Dearne and Districts backline was relentless.

GK’s, it was a quiet afternoon, but as usual both lads were professional in their work. We were particularly pleased with their communication, keeping the yellows alert for the full 80 minutes.

Special mentions:

Ollie Burnett played with real maturity, combining excellently and dribbling expertly in the right moments. This was a pleasure to see.

Jacob Malima was outstanding in terms of physical output. Sprints, recoveries and dribbles will no doubt be reflected with the pod data.

Taylor Broadbent continued where he left off with the yellows. A superb display across the entirety of his work. A great example of progression within the ranks of UFCA.

Dylan Townend’s contributions in the second half were clear to see. Lots of industry and unselfish runs off the ball enabled him to claim 1 goal and 2 assists!
