U15 Yellows 25/26 - Evo
UFCA Yellows vs Evo Sheffield.
UFCA Yellows suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat against a decent Evo Sheffield side who demonstrated a composed, possession-based approach throughout the fixture. Despite Evo’s controlling of the ball in periods, UFCA defended well overall and limited EVO to just a few clear attempts on goal.
First Quarter
The opening 20 minutes were encouraging from UFCA. We moved the ball well with several swift interchanges. Defensively, the back line looked comfortable and dealt well with Evo’s early attempts to establish rhythm.
Second Quarter
Evo enjoyed some longer spells of possession during the second period and began to dictate the tempo of the game. However, UFCA remained disciplined and organised, ensuring Evo were rarely a threat in the final third despite their control of the ball.
Third Quarter
The third quarter was disappointing by our recent standards. We appeared to take our foot off the gas and our intensity dropped both in and out of possession. Although we continued to restrict Evo to limited chances, they made one count working a cross into the box from a wide area, which was neatly finished to give them the lead.
Final Quarter
Following a frank discussion during the final break, there was a clear response from UFCA. The team raised their intensity, competed well across the pitch, and created several promising attacking moments. Unfortunately, we lacked the cutting edge in the final third to turn pressure into goals.
