U16 UFCA 25/26 - Pro Elite
Great start to the JPL season with a 3–1 win. As expected, the opening minutes were a little scrappy with some nerves showing, but once we settled, we began to play our game and took control.
In the second half, we showed fantastic character and desire, especially against a side that tried to disrupt us with physical play and a very direct style. It was a good lesson for us, as we’ll face similar situations throughout the season.
What impressed me most was the determination to push on and score two goals in the second half. That attitude and commitment will take us far.
In terms of improvements, we need to be a bit smarter when defending around our box and avoid giving away unnecessary free kicks that could put us under pressure.
Let’s not forget we are a brand-new team. Building chemistry and improving communication will take time, but this was a very positive first step. Well done, everyone!
