Match Report: U10 Naas Orange vs Staffan
Naas lads had a lot of chances and were unlucky with their finishing today. On another day the scoreline would have been tighter
1st Half - Naas started the game much tighter and compact as a team. Straffan brought a strong team with few of their prem team added to the squad for today's game. Naas worked very hard to keep Straffan at bay for much of the first quarter. Some good save from Tagh in goal. Cian and John were solid at the back. Straffan eventually got a break away goal to go 1-0.Naas came back stronger had some chances with Michael and Daragh in attack. Leon was introduced who was lively again in attack. He had another very good game. Straffan hit before half time to go 2-0 up.
2nd Half - Naas continued to have chance after to chance but couldnt register a score. Senan, Kiaon and Matt were unlucky not to find the net. Leon again some great play on the right but the finish could not match. Jack had another very good performance and did his best in trying to push the Naas revival.
Straffan hit Naas quickly again to go 3 then 4-0 up. With Naas pushing forward for that goal, Straffan went 5, 6-0 up. Tagh produced a brave save to deny Straffan again but got injured for his efforts. Daragh deputising in goals produced a couple of saves. Padhraig sent some long balls forward in defence to try get Naas going. Naas eventually got their long awaited goal from Kiaon
Definitely not a 6-1 game. The lads showed a lot of heart against a very good team. On another day with a bit better finishing the scoreline would have been tighter. Onwards to Tuesday match versus Suncroft.
