U12 Blacks vs Qualitas Sport Golds
UFCA U12 Blacks 0 – 6 Qualitas Gold
There is no bigger test than facing the league leaders on the day they are playing for the championship. Qualitas Gold arrived with a mission, showing exactly why they are the best in the division. However, while they may have walked away with the trophy, UFCA walked away with their heads held high.
Quarters 1–3: Clinical Champions
Qualitas played with the intensity and focus of a team that knew the title was within reach. Moving the ball with well, they utilized a coordinated high press, setting clever "traps" to win possession in dangerous areas.
Despite our attempts to play our signature style, the champions-elect were ruthless. They took each of the first three quarters by a 2-0 margin.
Quarter 4: Refusing to Fold
With the title celebrations looming for the visitors, the boys showed incredible character to finish this quarter 0-0. Rather than letting the game get away from them, they dug deep for the final 20 minutes. Shutting out the champions in the final quarter of their title-winning game is a massive testament to this squad’s "never-say-die" attitude.
Coach’s View
"First of all, congratulations to Qualitas Gold on winning the league—they are a very good side.
I told the boys afterwards how proud I was of that final quarter. To be 6-0 down against the best team in the league and respond by keeping a clean sheet in the last 20 minutes shows amazing resilience.
Congratulations to Harry Richardson, who had another stand-out performance and won player of the match for UFCA.”
