U14 Blacks 25/26 - York City
Match Report: UFCA Blacks 2 – 1 York City
UFCA Blacks started the game brightly, immediately putting York City on the back foot. Their early pressure paid off after just five minutes when Aidan Newsome delivered a superb cross from the wing, finding Riley at the back post to tap home and give UFCA the lead.
York gradually grew into the game and, after 30 minutes, managed to equalise following a spell of sustained pressure.
Second Half:
UFCA switched to a different formation after the break, and the change helped balance the contest. Both sides created chances and pushed hard for a winner as the game opened up.
The decisive moment came when Austin timed his run perfectly to break the offside trap, calmly slotting the ball under the advancing goalkeeper to restore UFCA’s lead and make it 2–1.
UFCA held firm in the closing stages to secure a well-earned victory after a competitive match.
