U16s Blacks vs Mill Lane United – 2-1

The boys put in a really strong performance. In the first half, we completely dominated possession and played some excellent football, creating plenty of chances. The only thing missing was that bit of quality in the final third. We eventually broke the deadlock with a well-taken header from Rio off a free-kick.

In the second half, we continued to be the better side and managed the game well when needed. The boys showed good composure and discipline to see the result through.

Main takeaway: We’re doing so many things well, but now it’s about adding that final bit of quality in the attacking third – hitting corners with detail, being precise with the final pass, and taking our chances when they come.
