Girls U10's Lionesses - Boldmere

An unfortunate lose for the girls today.

First half:

The girls put in an excellent performance against a strong side. We started strong with playing wide from goal kicks and working as a unit to push up the pitch. The girls were brave in their tackles and they pressured high up the field. We kept ourselves in the game with some excellent saves from our keeper and brave decisions to collect the ball.

The girls determination kept boldmere from scoring. They pressed goal kicks well and prevented boldmere playing through them. Half time ended with nothing between the two sides.

Second half:

The girls were excited to get back on the field and try get themselves a goal. We started well playing good balls foward and defending as a team. We made a few mistakes from set pieces giving Boldmere some opportunities to score. We gave ourselves many chances to score, and we looked dangerous on the attack. Finding the back of the net was the hard part for us today. We deserved a few goals.

The improvement from the girls is amazing, they are coming on leaps and bounds. From the start of the season to now, the difference is incredible.
