U12 Blacks vs 4G1

Thought the boys started the game strong and for long spells in the first two quarters we looked in control. Our only goal, one of the big positives from the game, was confirmation of what we can do in possession. Harry R, Harry K and Rocco (assisted) were all involved in a sweeping move that culminated with Fabio finishing with aplomb from the edge of the box.

Sadly we didn't build on this.

A combination of an unsual pitch (felt unsually long and narrow) and a frustrating/niggley/foul mouthed opponent, made for a different challenge for the boys - so lots of development and learning to take from this one. Overall I think the team handled it well - keeping our emotions in check, but we didn't help our cause by gifting them with chances and possession, and not making the most of our chances created.

As always, we take the positives, learn, and move onto he next challenge.
